Work Package Two
Gathering Patient and Carer Experiences
Potentially eligible participants will be identified via the Start for Life Programme in Sheffield and Doncaster.
In Sheffield, the Start for Life Programme includes a community-based Emotional Wellbeing clinic led by Perinatal Mental Health Midwives and Family Intervention Service (FIS) for underserved antenatal women between 15-25 weeks gestation.
The clinics run weekly at different locations across the city, targeting areas with high socioeconomic deprivation levels and non-White communities.
LIGHT Peer Support also delivers an integrated pathway across seven of the Start for Life Family Hubs in Sheffield, offering 1:1 and group counselling support and a range of peer support activities.
In Doncaster, Health Visitors and Early Days Support workers run community groups for underserved perinatal women that operate as part of the Start for Life Family Hubs and the Born and Bred in Doncaster programmes.
We use a model of Community Research Link Workers (CRLW) to engage local underserved groups and communities in the research.
